Apparently, Presidential Hopeful Daniel Imperato (R) may be more serious than any candidate we’ve seen on either side. Sure candidates like Joe Biden (D) have said they intend to run — but has anyone received an endorsement at this point?
Let me make it clear — the likelihood that I’d ever support Imperato is slim, based on his party affiliation — but I’ve said it a million times — I’m a Democrat, but if a good Republican came along, I wouldn’t hold it against him. Imperato raised my eyebrows, at least, when he received an endorsement last Friday. Take a look at this Press Release that BSR received:

On the day after Yom Kippur, one of the most well known rabbis, Rabbi Moshe Y. Koniuchowsky, personally endorsed Daniel Imperato for President in 2008.

Rabbi Koniuchowsky also urged the members of his synagogue, B’nai Yahshua Synagogue, to strongly consider supporting Imperato. “We ask all our YATI friends to strongly consider supporting this independent candidate for president of the USA, Daniel Imperato a Torah keeper based here in South Florida , with your vote as he launches his bid for the White House in 2008,” commented Rabbi Koniuchowsky.
Imperato throughout his exploratory process has always spoken a message of peace and inter-religious dialogue with the basis of keeping in line with Torah principles. He believes that with mutual beneficial respect we can bring the religions and cultures of the world together to spread peace, and move forward as a global society.
Currently, Daniel Imperato has formed an exploratory committee to evaluate running for the White House in 2008. The committee is being headed up by Dan Mangru.
