Wow. Think we’ll see the “No Coloreds” signs soon at diners in the area?

Wow I am 100% FOR this piece of legislation (along with Sen. Ernie Chambers the only Black member of the legislature). Think about it, minorities get more power over the education of their kids. If you actually read the article and did not go with your “knee Jerk” reaction to the issue, you would have found that this bill allows a better education for minority students; it in no way “segregates” them from society. Under the past school system in Omaha, minority students were forced to go to their own “neighborhood” schools. This meant that, traditionally, certain schools would be underfunded because of the tax base in that certain area. This bill allows for minority students to achieve an education equal to the “white” student because it will “redraw” the school districts entirely. If we want to get minorities out of the Welfare lines and into the ranks of the employed, we must try something new because the public school system we have in place right now is an utter FAILURE.

But, see, that’s not how the real world works. You don’t get to pick and choose the RACES of the people you work with. I mean, I know you would want to, Jay, but it’s just not how it works. It’ll make a strain on the racial lines and soon enough people will decide that it’s not _right_ to be with other races.
