“Talk about how Oppenheimer in South Africa sends diamonds straight to Tel Aviv and deals with the diamond merchants right here in Crown Heights.”
“If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house.”
– Al Sharpton, Crown Heights, NY, 1991
‘Hymies.’ ‘Hymietown.’ – Jesse Jackson, 1984
Double Standard? I think so.
Tonight, Les Moonves announced that CBS Radio would fire Don Imus. Kind of a coincidence, don’t you think, that Imus would be fired the night before Imus finished a radio telethon that this morning raised $1 Million for kids with cancer. But hey, Al “Tawana Brown” Sharpton has always been honest with the American people, right?
There is such a double standard in regards to race in America, that it is disgusting. I never thought I’d ever agree with former House Majority leader Tom DeLay, but he’s right:
“The message of the ongoing Imus scandal is simple: Verbal offenses against anyone, other than conservatives or Christians or Jews, will be treated as crimes, and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are the judge and jury.”
I’m absolutely disgusted with Imus, and I hope that Opie and Anthony will convince XM Radio into scooping up Imus as soon as possible.
“These bastards went after me. They got me. But they didn’t catch me asleep.”
Don Imus’ thirty year track record should have shown that he was genuine in his apology, and has changed.
So, as Imus asked this morning, when is Al Sharpton going to apologize to the Duke Lacrosse team?
